Aimufia Osagie Nigerian, b. 1969

Osagie Rafael Aimufia was born on March 14th, 1969 in Benin city. Osagie started doing art at a  very tender age by reproducing and drawing images from newspapers, comic magazines, record  albums etcetera. Osagie eventually proceeded to the famous Federal polytechnic, Auchi in Edo  state, for his formal art education and graduated with distinction. As a student, he won and received  many academic awards including the overall best student in the School of Arts and Design.1993  class.  
 
He did a mandatory 12 months National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) at Kano state college of  education, kumbotso, where he taught fine art for that period.  In 2015, in a quest to acquire more knowledge, Osagie traveled to the United States, where he  participated in a life changing residency program at Vermont studios center, the largest art residency  center in the United States of America. 
 
Osagie has had several exhibitions including solos and group shows in Nigeria and abroad, and his  works can be found in private and public collections all over the world. Osagie is a member, and current financial secretary of the Guild of Fine Artists of Nigeria (GFA), a  member of the Society of Nigeria Artists (SNA), a member of the society of Catholic Men  Organisation of Nigeria (CMO) and an alumnus of Vermont Studios Center, USA but to mention a  few.
