Emenike Ogwo Nigerian, b. 1965

Emenike Ogwo was born in 1965 in Akamu Ohafia, Abia State and studied in Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo state. He graduated with a HND in 1994 with a specialisation in painting. He went on to do his National Youth Service in the Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering, Markudi, Benue State, as an art instructor. 
 
After his formal education Emenike went into full time studio practice and produced works that have been celebrated all over the world. Known for his heavy impasto works on canvas, Ogwo has participated in several solo and group exhibitions including; ‘Impact’, Guild of Professional Artists of Nigeria at Hourglass Gallery, Lagos (2020), ‘Life is Beautiful’, Terra Kulture, Lagos (2015), ‘Transcending Boundaries’, Asia House, United Kingdom (2014), “Observation”, Terra Kulture, Lagos (2013), “Impasto”, Terra Kulture, Lagos (2012).
