Adeyinka Akingade (born 1981) is painter, photographer, and graphic designer, who graduated in Fine Arts from the Yaba College of Technology in 2008, specializing in Painting. Due to his fasination with materials and objects, Akingbade's art is experimental in nature, with each medium used inspired by the ability to push it past its traditional function and perception. His inspiration stems from childhood, exploring the relationship between himself, materials, and his immediate environment.
Akingbade's works have been featured in international and local exhibitions and fairs such as The 25th Annual Festival of Arts, Chicago, USA, The Contemporaries, Lagos, Eko Art Expo, and Lagos, ART X Lagos. His most recent solo exhibition at the African Artist's Foundation was titled the Evolution of Adeyinka Akingbade.
He has participated in residencies such as the Artist Residency at Orebro Art College, Sweden, and Independence and the Ambivalence of Promise Residency at the Center for Contemporary Art, Lagos.
