Ade Ogundimu is a contemporary Nigerian painter born in 1960 in London . He attended the School of Art, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, where he graduated with a HND in Painting in 1985. In 1991, he undertook further studies in Design and Print at University of the Arts London, before studying Pop Art at the University of Oxford, and obtaining his BA (Hons) and MA studies at the University of East London.
Known for his dramatic brushwork, and masterful use of shape and colour, Ogundimu’s works explore the complexities of contemporary African life. His works have been exhibited in several solo and joint exhibitions, including ‘Legacies of Biafra’, Brunei Gallery, United Kingdom (2018), ‘Naked Boundaries’, Espacio Gallery, United Kingdom (2015). He lives and works in London, United Kingdom.
